Conversation, rare: Rachel Horn

Interior Designer Rachel Horn has brought her design feast to Los Angeles with the opening of her new showroom and design studio. Horn believes that every object has beauty, soul, and place – her job is to find it. Her work is imbued with a spiritual and warm-blooded understanding of luxury and romance that the words “Spanish Gold” bring to mind. Her interiors are complex, elegant, and above all, comfortable. Horn uses the term instant roots to describe the feeling of depth and history that is a hallmark of a Rachel Horn home. Her intimate showroom and interior design studio is now open and sells a stunning line of hand crafted home décor, antiques, gifts, and accessories. The common thread is that all are hand made by artisans using traditional materials and techniques. I sat down with Rachel to find out how her deep roots have translated to the world of design, and entertaining guests with a beautiful meal.
